CyArt Studio

Case #P-01, data handling

What we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026. We collect the minimum needed to run this community well, never more, and we will never sell your data.

01 · Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information CyArt Studio collects when you visit studio.cyart.io, join the community, register for a meetup, subscribe to updates, or otherwise interact with us (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

CyArt Studio is operated by Kishan Patel as an independent, bootstrapped project based in Ahmedabad, India. We are the data controller for the information described below.

02 · Information we collect

Account and profile data: name, email address, and any profile details you choose to add when you join the community or register for an event.

Content you provide: messages in community channels, event RSVPs, form submissions (such as contact or join forms), blog comments, and any files or write-ups you share with us.

Usage data: pages visited, referring pages, approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically to understand how the Service is used.

Cookies and similar technologies: small files used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure aggregate traffic. See the Cookies section below for control options.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data (health, biometric, financial account numbers) unless you voluntarily include them in free-text fields, which we discourage.

03 · How we use information

To operate the Service: create and maintain your account, run community channels, process event registrations, and respond to your messages.

To improve the Service: understand which content, meetups, and features are useful, and fix what is not.

To communicate with you: send confirmations, meetup reminders, and, where you have opted in, updates about new content or events. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

To keep the community safe: detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and investigate reported violations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to train third-party advertising profiles.

04 · Legal basis for processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, or the GDPR for EU visitors), we rely on: your consent (for optional communications and non-essential cookies), performance of a contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), and our legitimate interest in running and securing a community platform, balanced against your rights.

05 · How we share information

Service providers: we use third-party infrastructure to host the site, run analytics, send email, and manage community channels (for example hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers). These providers process data only on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.

Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CyArt Studio, our community, or others.

Business changes: if CyArt Studio is ever restructured, acquired, or its assets transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a materially equivalent one.

We never share your data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

06 · Cookies

We use essential cookies required for login and site functionality, and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand traffic in aggregate. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service such as staying signed in.

07 · Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here: for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request earlier deletion, see Your rights below.

08 · Data security

As a cyber security-focused project, we take security seriously: access to systems holding your data is restricted, credentials are never stored in plain text, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat any suspected breach as a priority incident.

09 · International transfers

CyArt Studio is based in India, but some of our infrastructure and service providers may process data in other countries. Where data crosses borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection to what is described in this policy.

10 · Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent for optional processing, and object to certain uses of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11 · Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

12 · Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below, and where appropriate, we will notify the community. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.

13 · Contact us

For privacy questions, data requests, or concerns, reach out through the contact details on our Community page, or email us directly. As a solo-founder operation, we handle these personally, response times may vary but every request gets read and actioned.
