Case #T-01, the fine print
Plain-language rules for a community-first, bootstrapped project.
Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2026. CyArt Studio is a solo-founder, bootstrapped cyber security community, no VC-speak, no dark patterns, just the terms that keep this space safe and sustainable for everyone in it.
01 · Acceptance of terms
By accessing studio.cyart.io, joining the CyArt Studio community, attending a meetup, or using any service we offer (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
CyArt Studio is operated as a bootstrapped, independent project by Kishan Patel ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ahmedabad, India. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CyArt Studio.
02 · Who can use the service
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or join the community. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with the laws that apply to you, including any restrictions on accessing cyber security tooling, tutorials, or discussion in your country.
03 · Accounts
Some parts of the Service (community access, event RSVPs, member channels) require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or are used to violate these Terms.
04 · Membership and pricing
Core community membership, the Knowledge Hub, and meetups are currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers, premium content, or ticketed events in the future.
Where a fee applies, pricing, billing cycle, and refund terms will be disclosed clearly at the point of purchase before you pay. No hidden charges. If a paid feature is discontinued, we will provide reasonable notice.
05 · Acceptable use
CyArt Studio exists to teach cyber security responsibly. You agree not to use anything you learn here, or any Service feature, to attack systems you do not own or lack explicit authorization to test.
Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: unauthorized intrusion or exploitation of third-party systems, distributing malware, harassment or hate speech toward other members, impersonation, scraping or reverse-engineering the Service, spamming community channels, and any activity that violates applicable law.
We may remove content, revoke community access, or ban repeat or severe offenders at our discretion, with or without notice, to protect the community.
06 · Community conduct
Respect is the baseline. Debate ideas, not people. No gatekeeping of knowledge, no bullying of beginners, no doxxing, and no sharing of another member's private information without consent.
Meetups and events, whether online or in-person, follow the same conduct standard. Organizers and moderators may remove attendees who create an unsafe or disruptive environment.
07 · Intellectual property
The CyArt Studio name, logo, brand assets, and original written or video content are owned by CyArt Studio unless explicitly released as open source. Where we publish something as open source, the applicable license in that repository governs your use of it, and takes precedence over this section.
You may not use our brand assets to imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without written permission. See the Brand Kit page for approved usage.
Talks, workshops, and knowledge-hub material are provided for personal learning. Do not repackage, resell, or redistribute them commercially without our consent.
08 · Your content
If you post in community channels, comment on events, or submit content to us (write-ups, project showcases, feedback), you retain ownership of it, but you grant CyArt Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with the Service.
You are solely responsible for what you post. Do not submit content that infringes on someone else's rights, contains malicious code, or violates the acceptable-use rules above.
09 · Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party sites, tools, or platforms (for example, our social channels, open-source repositories, or partner resources). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own discretion.
10 · Disclaimers
The Service, including all educational content, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Cyber security is a fast-moving field; we do not guarantee that any technique, tool reference, or piece of advice remains accurate, complete, or safe to apply in every context.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service, and we are not liable for outcomes resulting from your use of information obtained through CyArt Studio, including any misuse against systems you do not own.
11 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CyArt Studio and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12 · Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CyArt Studio and its founder from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13 · Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service or a feature of it.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will continue to apply.
14 · Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as CyArt Studio grows. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date below and, where practical, notify the community. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
15 · Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
